Street Action

If you have ever wondered what young people without parental care face when they need to leave the institution and what awaits them afterwards, you would be interested in our street action, which presents the most common challenges and problems in leaving institution-based care.

Young people without parental care lose the right to stay in the institution when they reach adulthood (18 years) or finish their education. What happens afterwards and why they often do not see independence as a positive process is shown through a series of scenes of street performance.

The street action is part of the project “Stronger Together – Supporting the Empowerment of Youth without Parental Care” by a team of civil society organizations to support young people in their preparation for leaving home care. The project piloted a comprehensive training model that combines elements of individual, group, peer and community support.
