DEVELOPMENTAL-PREVENTION CENTER

Center for Positive Youth Development (Cepora), in cooperation with Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation and ApsArt - Center for Theatre Research, implements the project Developmental-Prevention Center, which is financed by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Policy of Republic of Serbia and Secretariat for Social Welfare of Belgrade`s City Administration.

Developmental-Prevention Center contains three types of services:

1. Social & Educational services,

2. Creative & Developmental services and

3. Counselling & Therapy services.

These services are focused on youth without parental care, aged from 12 do 18, which are under family-based or institution-based foster care.

Social & Educational services are focused on strengthening and development of social skills, and also are aimed at improving knowledge problems that they could encounter during life (e.g. violence, drug use, negative media influence).

Creative & Developmental services are focused on positive habits, skills and capabilities, encouraging personal development and internal capacities of minor, and group cohesion and positive atmosphere.

Counselling & Therapy services are aimed at overcoming problems and difficulties which young people encounter, and also at strengthening their positive capacities and personal potential.
