Support for Implementation of the Inclusive Model of Education in Elementary Schools

The goal of the project is to improve conditions for inclusive model of education throughout development and maintenance of the positive social climate in educational facilities. Project activities are focused on development and strengthening students` social skills (empathy, communication skills and cooperation, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills) that encourage tolerance, diversity acceptance, resistance to peer pressure and development of positive peer relations. Target group is second and third grade students and the project lasts for four months. Activities are being held once a week and there is a specially designed curriculum that has 11 workshops and they are all focused on social skills development. In order to provide continuous support for the implementation of the inclusive model of education, every school is asked to sign the Protocol on Cooperation.

Training in Prevention Program Technology Development

Project is based on intensive training that provides learning about principles and technology of prevention program designing, particularly in the area of safety and health of youth. The goal of the training is to improve competencies of people in organizations in order to organize prevention activities in a planned and systematic manner, to include principles of effective prevention practice, and to encourage and strengthen social activism. Trainers are experienced experts in the area of planning, implementation and evaluation of prevention programs. Training lasts for four days, and consists of theoretical and practical part. Target group is representatives of organizations that are working with children.

Role of Parents in Children Media Habits Formation

The goal of the project is to improve parental skills (discipline, control, supervision and positive engagement) that are significant for encouragement of positive youth development throughout lectures. Lectures lasts for 2 hours, they are focused on positive and negative media influences on children development and behavior and they are emphasize the significance of the role of parents and their skills in children media habits formation. Educators are experienced experts in methods of improving parental skills and they have knowledge of media influence on children socialization. Target group is parents that have preschool children. Additionally, there is a possibility to organize a theater-creative workshops with the children of the parents that participate in the lecture. Parents get brochures with tips on how to improve their role in children media habits formation.

Origami Workshops

The goal of the project is to develop children`s positive interests, to develop fine motor skills, attention and concentration, and also to fulfill children`s free time with constructive activities. Target group is children in elementary schools. There are 8 creative workshops in which children learn how to create different forms with shaping paper. Workshops are being held once a week, and all participants get the material and brochures with instructions.
